My Dermatude Non-Surgical Facelift Treatment and Review

So you could say 25 is a bit young to be getting a facelift, non-surgical or not, but let me tell you a bit more about Dermatude before you start the whole 'too much too young' spiel! (Schpeal? Schpiel? Whatever.)

Described as 'the facelift alternative' or a non-surgical facelift, Dermatude Meta Therapy is a process which creates microperforations in the skin using a machine with 18 teeeeeny tiny needles in it (not as painful as it sounds- I promise!) The micro-needles puncture the skin just below the epidermis to send it into 'trauma' mode, stimulating your skin to produce new collagen and elastin, regenerating the skin tissue and giving you that youthful glow! Whilst this is happening, the specialist Dermatude serums are allowed to soak into your skin. Each serum is tailored to you and your skin type to ensure the best results every time.

Dermatude improves the look of wrinkles, fine lines, improves structure, reduces the appearance of pores, increases firmness, boosts elasticity and gives an overall more youthful appearance. Who doesn't want that?! (Head over to the website here to see the full list of benefits!)

Looks painless right? Well, for those who watch my Instagram story every time I go and get my lip filler know how well I can disguise the pain.. BUT this treatment was mostly pain-free, considering all the perforating and penetrating and needles I have just been discussing. The only part that made me curl my toes a tiny bit was my nose, which just felt weird more than anything, and my forehead. Probably because I'm an idiot and got third degree burns on it a couple of weeks prior to my treatment (again, if you follow me on other social media platforms you would have seen the mess I was in!) But because of this, Kelly made sure she used a lower speed on my forehead and was extra careful.

As you can see, my skin has gone slightly red due to the Dermatude needles penetrating my skin. However, the penetration is extremely controlled, and the maximum depth the needles go is 0.5mm, so you don't need to worry about bleeding/anaesthetic. (Also how lush do my lashes look?!)

I couldn't not get a selfie in my 'Halloween' mask could I?! As terrifying as it looks, it felt absolutely amaaaazing on my skin, and if I didn't have a two hour drive home ahead of me and ran the risk of causing a multi-car pile-up on the M6, I would have definitely left the salon wearing it! Absolute BLISS.

This was a couple of days post-treatment! My skin felt glowing and my make-up glided on perfectly! To get the best results from your Dermatude treatment it is advised to book in for regular appointments.

Hopefully I have opened your eyes to new skin therapy treatments, and beat the stigma that 'facelifts' and facelift alternatives are only for the over 50's! You only get one body, so look after it, give it some extra TLC and prevent wrinkles before you actually start getting them!

Have you ever tried Dermatude or something similar?
