Reason number 8943348 that I hate ‘Time-Hop’ on Facebook, it
reminds me of the painful years in which I didn’t draw on my eyebrows. I still
remember the time in my second year at uni when I started pencilling them in
with my trusty Rimmel brow liner in ‘hazel’ after watching a couple of episodes
of TOWIE. A tragic effort, I’m ashamed to admit, but it got the ball rolling!
I’ve now upgraded from my £3.99 eyebrow pencil to the
coveted Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade (I buy it in both soft brown and
medium brown because I’m a serious beauty blogger OK) and I think I’ve got
pretty good at producing a set of brows that can officially be described as #onfleek.
I usually get them threaded, but the last few times I have
noticed the beautician has been shaving more and more off, even though I
CLEARLY say before I sit back in the chair ‘I AM TRYING TO GROW THEM THICKER,
SO JUST TIDY THEM UP PLEASE.’ K
For the record, when they’ve finished hacking my forehead to smithereens, get
the mirror out to show me and ask ‘is that ok?’ (obviously I nod and force
myself to smile and tell them I love it and thankyou), what would happen if I
said no actually, I clearly told you I want thicker brows, NOT to thread them
to within an inch of their life??? What could they do? They aren’t exactly
going to glue the tiny hairs back on? And an apology certainly isn’t going to
make them grow back instantaneously? Hmm. The mind boggles.
ANYWAY, back to the blog. After doing a little bit of
research- and by research I mean scrolling through Instagram for a couple of
hours, I decided to book an appointment for HD brows. The treatment involves,
tinting, waxing, threading, plucking and lightly pencilling in to create a shape
that is tailored to suit the shape of your face.
I nearly fell off my chair when I was asked how dark I
wanted them, and how thick I wanted to keep them, as I was so used to just
getting them zapped off on a fortnightly basis.

After about 25 minutes, (and minimal pain!) I was shown the
results- very impressed! I was told I can pluck any stray hairs that grow
underneath the brow, but in order to thicken out the arch I must stay well away
from the top.
I will be back in four weeks for my second treatment.
Massive thanks to Hannah for doing them!
They look great! Haha this post maed me laugh so so much though. I cannot believe there was ever a time when I didn't draw them on - I looked so bad and how did I not realise?!!

Ah they look amazing girl! I relate to the threading struggle, I always tell my beautician that I just want them tidied up as I'm growing them and end up with the thinnest brows ever haha. I might have to give HD Brows a go! x

They look really great, I'm so tempted to get mine done but I'm so fair I'm a bit scared of them coming out too dark! Maybe they can do them in a lighter shade.......
